More info

In Ayurvedic practices, turmeric is thought to have many medicinal properties. Given its effectiveness, it comes as no surprise that there is similar literature in Chinese and Malay medicine.

Indeed, turmeric is Ayurveda’s most obvious tools of healing where turmeric is used as “food, medicine and spice”. It is called “living gold from the earth”! One of the most touted is the ability to reduce pain and inflammation. In today’s world where arthritis is on the rise, it may be really “gold” especially given the high profile of some drugs used in rheumatology.

Turmeric has a peppery, warm and bitter flavor and a mild fragrance slightly reminiscent of orange and ginger, and while it is best known as one of the ingredients used to make curry, it also gives ballpark mustard its bright yellow color. Turmeric comes from the root of the Curcuma longa plant and has a tough brown skin and a deep orange flesh.

Curcumin is thought to be the primary pharmacological agent in turmeric. In numerous studies, curcumin's anti-inflammatory effects have been shown to be comparable to the potent drugs hydrocortisone and phenylbutazone as well as over-the-counter anti-inflammatory agents such as Motrin. Unlike the drugs, which are associated with significant toxic effects (ulcer formation, decreased white blood cell count, intestinal bleeding), curcumin produces no toxicity at all.

Clinical studies have substantiated that curcumin also exerts very powerful antioxidant effects. As an antioxidant, curcumin is able to neutralize free radicals, chemicals that can travel through the body and cause great amounts of damage to healthy cells and cell membranes. This is important in many diseases, such as arthritis, where free radicals are responsible for the painful joint inflammation and eventual damage to the joints. Turmeric's combination of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects explains why many people with joint disease find relief when they use the spice regularly.

However, turmeric is very poorly absorbed. Less than one percent is absorbed. You have to take cupfuls of the stuff to see any reduction of pain and swelling.

That is now changed. There is now SOLUMERIC - a unique turmeric formula with a patented German technology that significantly enhances the absorption of turmeric and ensures sufficient blood level curcumin to improve various health-related issues.

SOLUMERIC uses a patented German technology that encapsulates the curcumin molecule into a micelle. This enables the curcumin to be fully water and fat soluble with a very high bioavailability and fast absorption rate into the human blood plasma.

In fact, in an actual human clinical trial conducted by Institute of Biological Chemistry and Nutrition, University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany, SOLUMERIC was found to be absorbed 185× better than normal curcumin. This is by far, the HIGHEST absorption rate ever proven clinically by any forms or curcumin formulation!*
